CT-scan after the 7th chemo

Hi there folks! It's the 15th of May and I made a recap (shown on the left side) of what happened for those long months since diagnosis. Actually, I did it for myself to see how much we've accomplished so far. We went to the hospital today with my black baggage (the one I always packed with all our stuffs needed for a 3-4-days stay in the hospital) only to find out that we don't need to spend even a night there, which is of course a good news for us. At 10:30am, Dr. Hung told us that they only need to ct-scan our boy for the surgeon (Dr. Lai)'s evaluation. Now, I will be talking about Dr. Lai and not Dr. Hung anymore (that's until all this "liver cutting" thing is over cos Jasem will need to return to Dr. Hung's hand for rounds of chemo again which is part of the protocol, remember?). After the chat with Dr. Hung, we rushed home to have lunch first because they can't do the scan not until Jasem's tummy is really empty. Actually it's my fault cos I gave him milk while we were waiting for our turn to be called. We waited for over an hour, and the boy's hungry, for x's sake! Ok, in fact, no one blamed me for what happened... Ok, after we had our lunch, we hurried back to Chang Gung for the 1pm scanning. The nurse injected the contrast agents (dye that makes the tumor more visible I guess), then let him took a liquid to make him sleep... I've viewed the scene many times but believe me, It was still heart breaking for a mom like me. Jasem spitted it out but he still fell asleep as expected and the ct scanning went smooth not like the one last March 28 wherein Jasem was scanned while his eyes were wide open. They were able to get blurry view of tumor location that time bcos Jasem were moving and it's all bcos of the newbie dr who decided not to give the sedative since Jasem was quite sleepy when he met us. We'll be meeting Dr. Lai tomorrow to hear what he'll say about resectability or other possible options. So, that's where we're right now. More tomorrow....
